Address gaps and inconsistencies in discipline policies and practice so that every classroom's culture is conducive to learning.

Expand hands-on learning, vocational programs, and Career & Technical Education (CTE) so students can prepare for college, careers, and life.

Ensure education dollars are spent wisely, with transparency and accountability.

Support timely, good-faith contract negotiations by building a culture of trust and collaboration between the Board of Trustees, District staff, the Modesto Teachers Association and the California School Employees Association.

*Debra supports the underlying grading and behavioral policies, but recognizes that poor implementation has caused confusion and disrupted learning. New policies need quality training and enough time for teachers and parents to understand them, with the necessary systems in place before implementation begins.
